New ChatGPT advertisers: every brand we've tracked since launch
A running count of every brand that has run a ChatGPT ad since launch, current through August 2026.
As of August 2026, 5,486 distinct advertisers have run ChatGPT ad placements since tracking began, and 2,963 of them first appeared in just the last 30 days. We count new entrants cumulatively rather than week-over-week, because our daily capture has gaps that would otherwise look like market exits.
More than half of every advertiser we have ever tracked on ChatGPT showed up in the last 30 days.
The cumulative picture
ChatGPT advertising is not a stable leaderboard. New brands appear every day, and a meaningful share of the all-time top 15 have had quiet stretches inside our capture window. To follow this market usefully, you have to look at first-seen totals over the full life of our tracking, not movement between two adjacent weeks.
Who has shown up in the last 30 days
In the most recent 30-day window, our system logged 2,963 advertisers as first-seen entrants, meaning their first ChatGPT placement in our entire history fell inside that window. The arrival list is unusually concentrated in cybersecurity, finance, HR tech, and a handful of consumer brands. Lemonade leads the new-cohort list with 124 appearances in its first 30 days. Three security vendors, Darktrace, Wiz, and Expel, each cleared 49 or more placements in their debut window.
Cybersecurity is the clearest cluster
Three of the top twelve first-seen entrants are security vendors, a concentration that is not accidental. ChatGPT answers to prompts about threat detection, posture management, and incident response are an unusually natural fit for sponsored recommendations, because the user has already self-identified a problem before the ad ever loads. The pattern mirrors what we see in our broader advertiser directory, where security brands over-index relative to their share of traditional display budgets.
The biggest advertisers are not the newest
The all-time top 15 is dominated by Mastercard, Monday.com, Cloudflare, and ZoomInfo Technologies Inc, brands that have been running ChatGPT placements long enough to accumulate 2,500 or more appearances each. None of those four appear on the first-seen list. The gap between the cumulative leaders and the new-cohort leaders is the single most useful framing of how new this channel still is. Lemonade's 124 appearances in its debut window is still 28 times smaller than Mastercard's all-time 3,490, a useful proxy for how much runway a brand new to ChatGPT typically needs to reach the top tier.
Even the leaders go quiet
Our 30-day window also flagged 588 advertisers as gone dark, brands with no appearances in that period despite historical presence. The illustrative list includes Mastercard, Cloudflare, SAP, and ClickUp, all of which sit high on the cumulative leaderboard. We treat that count as an upper bound rather than a confirmed exit list, because the same capture gaps that motivate our cumulative framing here would inflate the gone-dark number if read literally. For a live view that filters for confirmed re-entries, the intelligence hub is the cleanest source.
