As of July 2026, TouchBistro holds 45.1% of ChatGPT ad placements in restaurant technology, with 37 of 82 spots going to one vendor. The remaining 22 advertisers are mostly horizontal SMB SaaS tools, not POS rivals, leaving AI voice ordering, DoorDash alternatives, and food-truck POS as open lanes for category specialists.

TouchBistro's 45.1% share looks like a monopoly until you read the rest of the leaderboard: 7 of the top 10 advertisers are horizontal SaaS, with only Zipchat Inc, an AI-voice specialist, standing as a category-aligned player besides TouchBistro itself.

Restaurant operators are not being treated as a category-specific buyer. The ad market is treating them as a generic SMB vertical, which is why horizontal SaaS vendors, from CRMs and project managers to phone systems, review aggregators, and accounting tools, are bidding for the same operator who happens to run a kitchen, rather than competing POS vendors.

TouchBistro holds 45% of placements (37 of 82). The next three buckets, Unknown (9), HoneyBook (7), and Zipchat (5), total 21 placements combined, and the remaining 19 advertisers account for 24 placements averaging about 1.3 each.

The AI-voice lane is wide open

What restaurant operators actually ask ChatGPT
7 real prompts
best ai phone ordering system for restaurants in 2026
best ai voice agent to replace restaurant call center staff right now
best commission-free online ordering system for restaurants in 2026
best doordash alternative for restaurants that doesn't take a percentage cut
best free pos for a food truck

DoorDash alternatives, AI voice ordering, free food-truck POS, and KDS-with-Toast queries dominate the prompts above, but the advertisers bidding on them are mostly horizontal SaaS. Zipchat Inc at 5 placements is the only specialist in the AI-voice cluster, and the other sub-prompts have no category-native bidder at all.

What a category-native vendor should do

Bid against Attio, HoneyBook Inc, and Capterra, not TouchBistro. These are the horizontal SaaS players actually showing up in the restaurant-tech capture. Claim four specific sub-prompts where intent is sharp and the incumbent is absent: AI phone ordering, DoorDash commission-free alternatives, free food-truck POS, and KDS integrations with Toast. With 19 long-tail advertisers averaging about 1.3 placements each, a new specialist can buy share at economics that no longer exist on Google or Meta for restaurant-tech keywords.
