Mastercard Tops ChatGPT Consumer Electronics Ads. Apple and Samsung Are Absent.
As of July 2026, Mastercard leads ChatGPT ads in consumer electronics at 7.43% share, ahead of Capterra and Visible by Verizon, while Apple, Samsung, and Sony do not appear in the top 10.
As of July 2026, the top ChatGPT advertiser for consumer electronics queries is Mastercard, a credit card network, followed by Capterra and Visible by Verizon, while Apple, Samsung, Sony, Dell, LG, and Bose appear nowhere in the top 10 across 81 advertisers and 148 placements.
A credit card network leads the consumer electronics ad leaderboard at 7.43% share, more than every dedicated consumer electronics brand on the leaderboard.
The leaking bucket: the brands users explicitly name in their ChatGPT prompts are being evaluated inside ChatGPT right now, with no paid voice from the people who make them in the top 10.
The leaderboard tells a strange story. A credit card network, a B2B software review site, and a wireless carrier hold the top three spots on a consumer electronics surface. Only three dedicated CE sellers appear in the top 10, Crutchfield, Loop Earplugs, and Walts TV, and they tie at 4 placements each. Apple, Samsung, Sony, Dell, LG, and Bose do not appear at all. Their products are being evaluated inside ChatGPT, with no paid voice from the people who make them.

Forty-three of the top 10's 55 placements, about 78%, come from advertisers who do not sell consumer electronics.
Where the demand actually clusters
The laptop and TV cluster is the cheapest cluster to enter. Only 8 advertisers fight for 43 placements, giving each incumbent 5.4 placements, the lowest bidder density of any cluster captured. Headphones inverts the math: 7 advertisers split 17 placements, so each incumbent holds just 2.4. Camera and phone sits in between at 2.75. For an OEM with a laptop or TV line, fewer bidders per placement means lower auction pressure and a cheaper entry point.
Most of the prompts below name brands, and none of those brands appear on the leaderboard. The conversations are happening, but the advertisers are not.
